Good Energy, the UK's only dedicated 100% renewable electricity supplier, has announced its founder and chief executive, Juliet Davenport, has been awarded the PLUS-quoted CEO of the year at the PLUS+Awards 2009.

After receiving the accolade, Juliet Davenport, said: "On behalf of Good Energy and the team I am delighted to accept this award.

“Recognition from the PLUS market demonstrates that Good Energy is a leader in our sector. We have worked hard to retain and grow our customer base and launch new initiatives over the last twelve months and aim to continue this momentum through 2009 and beyond.

“Our next major initiative will be the repowering of our existing wind farm, Delabole in Cornwall. Good Energy is committed to increasing the uptake of renewable energy consumption in the UK and we will continue working hard to raise awareness about the importance of this as part of the solution to climate change."

Good Energy buys only 100% renewable electricity from over 500 independent generators across the UK. It has consistently led the way in supporting independent and micro generation through its own ground-breaking buy-back schemes and recently increased the payment it awards to customers of its HomeGen scheme.
