Tamar Energy appoints new construction director

Cooper has a proven track record in the AD sector

Tamar Energy has appointed Chris Cooper as its Director of Construction, Engineering and Commissioning, as the company continues to build its national AD network.

Chris, a Chartered Construction Manager, will oversee the design, construction and technology procurement of the company’s next wave of plants, and take sites through commissioning. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent the last seven years working in the AD industry.

Before joining the industry, he managed projects for a number of international firms including Tate & Lyle, British American Tobacco and Nature’s Way Foods.

Speaking about his appointment, Chris Cooper said: “The pace of growth at Tamar Energy over the past few years is remarkable. It’s important we now continue that momentum while maintaining the industry leading standards of construction that the company prides itself on. There is a lot of potential for the UK’s sector and I want to help make sure Tamar Energy remains at the forefront of that.”

We’re in a great position to continue our expansion and Chris is vital in helping us achieve that goal.”

Tamar Energy is one of the UK’s leading operator and developer of commercial AD plants. It currently has five AD plants in operation or commissioning, at Holbeach, Lincs; Basingstoke, Hants; Retford, Notts; Halstead, Essex and Hoddesdon, Herts, and a full development pipeline of other AD plants.
