Our client is a well-established installer of solar PV for the commercial sector. They have helped over 60 schools in the last few years to install, monitor and utilise free energy from solar PV, reducing energy costs and supporting their education programmes. The company have now, in conjunction with a major finance institution developed a unique funding proposition for the education sector. The school receives FIT payments and does not have to sign a PPA. The installation and finance is self-funding. The funding model meets all legal requirements for schools and education authorities. This is an exciting opportunity to expand their schools client base with a unique offering, and a proven track record of working with schools beyond purely installing solar.

Applicant should have a proven track record of selling commercial scale solar PV projects, ideally some of this experience selling to schools, local authorities and education. You will be adept at building rapport and communicating with a range of stakeholders, from school heads to board of governors to local authority procurement.

You should also have;

• A minimum of 2 year working for a solar installer.

• Strong financial acumen, ideally having sold financed solutions and solar installations.

• Comfortable with Financial Analysis and how individual project parameters impact on project returns.

• Familiar with the installation process from planning to DNO applications to onsite surveying.

• A full UK driving licence, and ideally a CRB check (or one will be obtained).
Duties and responsibilities;

• Manage an existing pipeline of opportunities within the schools and education sector.

• Further acquire new project opportunities for your pipeline.

• Communicate with all external stakeholders and the in-house management and delivery team.

• Achieve sales targets in line with company expectations.

• Ensure at all times the integrity and reputation of the company are maintained and enhanced.
